Viteyes assessed by an eye expert in the Daily Mail to tackle eye problems

A recent report showed three-quarters of us suffered poor eye health in the past 12 months.

The Daily Mail Good Health feature asked eye expert Dr Maryam Zamani, an oculoplastic surgeon at the Cadogan Clinic, to assess some of the latest eye health products, then they rated them.

Viteyes visits Ophthalmologists and GP’s this week

This week, we have headed up the motorway to the ICC, Birmingham for the The Royal College of Ophthalmologists Annual Congress 2014. Every year, we hire a stand and take Viteyes brochures, samples and pens to give out to the delegates as we tell them about Viteyes – our nutritional supplement for eye health.

We emphasise the strong research base behind Viteyes – as this is of high importance to prescribers such as ophthalmologists and GP’s. Evidence based prescribing ensures that patients receive the treatments that give the best results.

Viteyes is sponsoring the Gift of Sight charity carol concert

Gift of Sight is the charity set up to raise funds for the pioneering eye research at Southampton Eye Unit lead by Professor Andrew Lotery.  He specialises in macular degeneration and his team are at the forefront of new technologies to help develop new treatments in the future. Other areas of research are glaucoma, inherited retinal diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa and childhood conditions such as nystagmus.

During December Winchester holds a Christmas market and the town centre looks truly magical . A fundraising carol concert organised by Gift of Sight in Winchester College Chapel is dimly lit and we sponsor the purchase of pen torches with our logo on for everyone to use to read the hymn sheets. This gives an insight into how debilitating macular degeneration can be to those of us with full vision. This year’s concert on the 16th December  is sold out already.

Optrafair & Optician Awards 2013

We have just spent a busy weekend attending the optical trade show Optrafair 2013 at the NEC in Birmingham. We exhibited our prescription swimming goggles, Viteyes and Eye Care Cosmetics to the delegates – opticians, contact lens practitioners and optical assistants looking to stock new and exciting ranges. Our new mirrored prescription goggles were modelled by Konnie and Mark from Hels Belles Model Agency.
