Last Thursday, I was interviewed by Ian Gentles, Digital Marketing Navigator who helps businesses grow and Darren Coles of Galleon Graphics, a professional graphic design company based in Banbury.

They co-host The Knowing Your Business Show on my local hospital radio station Radio Horton every Thursday from 10 am to 12 noon. Affectionately known locally as KURB, this informal show focuses on local Banbury businesses. Many of us also belong to a Facebook group called Banbury Business Network (devised by Ian) and we also participate in #oxhour on Twitter.

I was asked to talk about the benefit of business awards and how they can make a difference to a growing company with a limited marketing budget. This was in response to our recent sponsoring of the free from skincare awards and other local and national award wins. As well as beauty, we mentioned our dry eye/blepharitis and prescription swimming goggle/diving mask websites.

The podcast is available to listen to any time by scrolling down to me.

The benefit of podcasts is that if we are in a meeting or away from the office, we can listen again at a time that suits us. We can find out more about our local business community, so we can support them in any way we can and hear their good news. Keeping trade local is important for our local economy and this one way of finding out about new products and services from our favourite companies.
